Opening Reception: February 7th, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Gallery Hours: Friday & Saturday from Noon - 8:00 PM

Saranac Art Projects will host an exhibition and sale from the estate of Leslie W. LePere for the month of February 2025. An extensive selection of the artist’s work and art collection will be for sale, with 50% of the proceeds benefiting the gallery. The funds will be used for special projects such as providing honorariums for guest curators for gallery exhibits and membership scholarships for specially selected new members. The exhibit will feature original 2 dimensional and 3-dimensional works by the artist. There will be his minutely detailed 4” x 4” and 6” x 6” drawings, both series in ink and colored pencil. Some prints of these will also be offered. There will also be a large group of the original drawings for many of the logos, posters, letterheads & book covers he designed. Several drawings he executed with art partners will be available. The best art books from his personal library will be for sale. A number of bas-reliefs works in Champlevé and mixed media, crafted by LePere and his art partner Ken Cory, will be included. The duo worked together as The Pencil Brothers, Lead & Red, from 1970 until Cory’s death in 1994. LePere is the brother of Louise Kodis, textile artist.
