ARTIST STATEMENT

Baskets in my studio hold textiles collected for 40 years. Fine silk organza and repurposed silk scarves drift onto my cutting table. Careful selections of textures and colors are bound together to speak boldly of memories from my garden and flavors from my daydreams. Some work is tethered by concealed dowels, some captured within vintage frames, all is machine stitched silks, all wall mounted.
