Struggling with distortions made in hate and fear. Body rights, gender, conspiracies, race, and age have created a new focus and realignment of my art practice. My visual response includes a distillation of portraiture, an amalgam of faces, ages and ethnicities. Hydrocal plaster has a delicately smooth surface allowing experimentation with different applications of mediums to its surface and interior. As a plaster used in medical practices its strength in design harkens to our human resilience.
